Let’s not make this weird. Yes, there’s a new logo that I’ve been working on for far longer than I care to admit. Truth is I didn’t want to run into any copyright issues for using Jason’s likeness soooooo… I made a new one. This is important because if I’m going to submit my podcast to Itunes, I needed some original art. Oh yeah, I haven’t forgotten about that promise either. I now have one less thing to worry about. Currently, I’m focussing on learning how to edit my audio recordings so I can make it all presentable and professional-ish. I’m also thinking about how often we’re going to do the podcast. I’d like to do it weekly, but bi-weekly might be more manageable. Life’s hard choices.
While I have you all here, the comic book community lost an icon this morning in Bernie Wrightson. His artwork was a huge influence on me during my adolescence. He co-created the DC supernatural character, Swamp Thing. Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein illustrated by Bernie Wrightson was my first introduction to the classic story and his haunting imagery has stuck with me all these years. I’ve yet to buy myself another copy which is a crime in itself. Another personal favorite of mine was his work with Stephen King on the novella, Cycle of The Werewolf, which inspired the film Silver Bullet. If you’ve yet to see any of his work, I highly recommend his version of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. It was one of his personal favorites and it shows in his work.
